A Close Election – For a Seat on the LSUC Board

I would like to thank my colleagues, for their wonderful support in the recent Law Society election.

Every four years, Ontario’s lawyers hold elections to elect the 40 lawyers who will sit on the Board of the Law Society, which governs the legal profession in Ontario. I had hoped to win a seat on the Board in order to push to modernize the Court system.

Results came out on May 1st, and can be seen here.

For the 20 seats available to lawyers from outside Toronto, I came 21st (out of 48). I am truly humbled by the wonderful feedback and support of my colleagues.
